It's ok! You will shine one day.

Hello budding doctor, Are you feeling stranded in the midst of a great confusion? It happens. There are days when we all will feel low. The medical - dental college life is bound to all the ups and downs you are facing and you will face. I thought of penning this short note for you. Yes you.

1. What you see today is TEMPORARY.
The obstacles you face, the scoldings you get, the friends who come and go - all are temporary. Tomorrow is different. So rise up and walk again.

2.Your LIFE is much more than your PROFESSION.
What you learn here can help you earn. But will not determine your life. If you feel you lack certain skills you need to shine in your college/profession, it's ok! All are not perfect. The skills you lack can always be outsourced, thats how dentistry works. Become strong in  whatever you are good at.

3.Don't take everything PERSONALLY.
If you are having a bad day at lab/ if you feel your staff is scolding you too much/ if your patient is not cooperative enough and makes things hard for you - Don't take anything Personally. It may be wounding at that moment- but not everything is because of you. The staff/patient may be having a bad day personally and it may reflect on you. Remember, "its not my fault"/ "I am learning it" and move on.

There are many more phases which you wil be asked to cross. But at the end of your graduation, if you had had the right mindset, you will evolve into a matured human being. And that's what I wish for all of you.
